A press release from Nintendo of Japan has people jumping off the ledge: Has Disaster: Day of Crisis, Nintendo's action adventure title that has been in development for, well, quite awhile, been cancelled? Some people seem to think this press release says so.
Fortunately, I have access to people who can read Japanese for me, and make me look really smart! The press release says, approximately:
The release date of the Wii Software Disaster: Day of Crisis, (which was scheduled to be released July 3rd 2008), has been delayed in order to provide a better product to the customer. When the new release date has been decided, we will let you know. So please understand, sorry for any inconvienance this may cause the customers and vendors.
See! Calm down people: Disaster isn't cancelled (which isn't to say I'm concerned!).

It's cool that they're taking their time with this one... it will be even cooler if it does well in Japan! We can only hope!
