Fans of all things Final Fantasy will be pleased to hear that the latest spin-off from the saga - Chocobo Mysterious Dungeon - has been given a release date in Japan. Great news for import-hungry early adopters, and a step closer for those hanging in there for the US and European editions.

The official site (Japanese only), as Go Nintendo report, has "seen some updates, like new character profiles and more.". The Japan release will be December 13th, just in time to line the Christmas stockings of Square/Enix fans.
For those unfamiliar with the title, this is a traditional RPG game in which the player takes control of a jumbo Chokobo, guiding him through dungeons, battles and great cinematic cut scenes all the way to winning the girl at the end.
