Wii

Heard about component video but haven't the slightest idea what it is? You're probably not alone. The Nintendo Wii ships with a set of composite cables, the familiar red, yellow and white cords that plug into most VCRs, DVD players and television sets. Those are fine and produce a much clearer picture than, say, a co-axial cable. However, component video ups the ante a bit more with a better picture and improved sound.
Don't believe me? This side-by-side comparison video from GameVideos.com shows the full intro sequence to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in both video forms. You can see component video produces a slightly sharper picture than the composite. It isn't a difference you'll cry about as you fall asleep at night, but every bit of beauty you can pump out of your Wii system will definitely be appreciated.

Also be sure to check out GameSpot's side-by-side image comparison.
