David Jaffe Does what David Jaffe Does, Takes Shot At Miyamoto

David Jaffe is at it again! The God of War and Calling all Cars developer took a jab at industry legend Shigeru Miyamoto, making light of his distaste for Retro studio's mythical car combat game, which Miyamoto (according to legend) put the brakes on (from Chris kohler's Wired Blog):

Apparently when Miyamoto first went to Retro Studios, they were making a car combat game, he said, "Why would you make that? Why would you put a gun on a car?" And they stopped development on the game. So maybe you should answer that question. Why would you put a gun on a car?

Jaffe: You know, honestly, I've been too busy recently trying to figure out why the **** go-karts shoot banana peels.

My immediate tendency is to mock the guy for bashing a hero of mine. But I think people need to take a chill pill on Jaffe. Jaffe's a passionate guy, speaks his mind, and that's basically OK. And, in this case, I think he was joking.
