EA Playground Video Trailer

Electronic Arts forthcoming Wii and DS title is evidently hoping to cash in on the success and popularity of bundled Wii game Wii Sports, supplying family friendly sports with a distinctly "playground" flavour, and fun cartoony graphics.




The game features both a "rich" single player mode, in which new levels can be unlocked, and basic RPG exploration sampled, and of course multi-player sports action. EA write of their offering:

"EA Playground transports you to your fantasy playground, packed with interesting characters, over-the top gameplay, and a ton of collectables. Kids can bring the excitement of the playground home, and parents or even grandparents can re-experience their childhood thrills"

Games include dodgeball, volleyball, tetherball, RC car racing, and "spit ball", whatever that might be. Here's a trailer from EA:

This could be a nice addition to the family Wii line-up, and one to roll out when everyone is tired of Wii Sports (if that's possible).
