Wii

The March issue of EGM features a cover story on the PS3: "BattleStation: The PlayStation 3 is under attack! What went wrong (and what Sony has to say about it)". Inside the editor interviews Jack Tretton, the new president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA). Amidst the face-saving dialogue and clever sidesteps to tough questions, EGM popped an insert on other systems on the market, including the Nintendo DS and Wii.
For the Wii, EGM asked the critical question: Can the momentum last? The answer? Probably. Hit games in both the short and long term include Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy and more. Unfortunately the Wii could fall victim to GameCube-itis, seeing as how third party developers haven't shown much support for the system so far. Almost all big-name games for the Wii are produced in-house.

Flipping the page, EGM asks the following of the Nintendo DS: How far can it go? The little system that could has burst into the hands of over 10 million gamers in the U.S. alone and it shows no signs of slowing down. A number of hit games are slated for the system in the coming months, including a brand new Zelda game, two new Pokemon installments, and several hugely anticipated names from Square-Enix, Dragon Quest IX and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate.
And in other news, the Game Boy Advance and GameCube are dying a slow death. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
