Every Virtual Console Game Reviewed

The Virtual Console dumps a lot of games in our laps every week. And if you're like me, you won't just throw your hard-earned cash at any game that brushes your fancy. Tracking down good reviews of so many retro games has been difficult, so I set my browser to the task of finding a Virtual Console review metasite. Fortunately the search was quick and painless and turned up a gem of a resource.

The Virtual Console Archive is a UK-based gaming site that collects tons of VC game data in one location. Not only can you get reviews for every game for both regions, you can also get rankings, release information, Wii Points cost and more. Everything is organized in easy-to-read tables, making it the best resource I've seen for Virtual Console information and reviews.

Virtua Fighter 2 remains one of the best one-on-one fighters in the history of videogames. When it was originally released it destroyed the competition, and even today (after three updates) hardcore fans feel that Sega has never really bettered the classic brawler. But before you all get too excited, this isn't the superb Saturn version but the rather less impressive Genesis/Megadrive port.
