Wii

If you're wild about getting a sweat on in the company of your friends but don't fancy group loving, the Wii platform has provided countless ways to make your dream a reality. Soon to join the fray is the next installment of the DDR franchise Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party, which doubtless does just what it says on the tin.

And if you are intrigued as to what the game might offer, you might want to check out the Japanese website which just launched. There you'll find some eyeball assaulting colourful "design" detailing gameplay, characters and behind the scenes banter from the game's developers.
If you aren't graced with the ability to read Japanese however, marvel at the garish visuals and rest assured that the game will include the following "styles" (as poorly translated by me):

If you aren't graced with the ability to read Japanese however, marvel at the garish visuals and rest assured that the game will include the following "styles" (as poorly translated by me):
- Single style - yes, even friendless losers can play the game alone, in the dark. This is the basic mode of the game, whereby you have to follow the onscreen arrows a best you can. Once you are too rubbish, it's game over time
- Battle Style - Should you wish to face off with someone and ruin your friendship forever, battle style allows you to compete head-to-head to the same music, on a points based system. Only one dancer can reign supreme
- Marouchi Style - In which 2-4 players dance together to the same dance steps, like some kind of line dancing troupe, and can't stop until everyone has filled up their "dance meter" to the max.
- Single Style (group) - 2-4 players each dance to their own steps, ending when one fool gets things so wrong that they are "booed", when the entire game grinds to a halt and everyone kicks them
- Friendship Style - 2-4 players work collaboratively to build up a single "dance meter" to victory, which averages out based on individual performances. Which is great unless you are all crap, in which case there will never be any hope of success.
Apologies for any translation errors!
