Fishing Master About To Hit The Wii
Filed in archive Wii by Michael Pick on September 11, 2007
Fishing fans rejoice, as Hudson are set to release their Fishing Master game exclusively for the Wii on September 18th. With an anime presentation style, a competitive four player multiplayer mode, and a one player story mode this looks like it could be a very fun way to prove yourself a true fishing master.

Fishing Master About To Hit The Wii

Hudson's official game site makes much of the - you guessed it - innovative use of the Wii controller(s):
"Landing a good catch can be a tricky situation using old school controllers on bygone game systems. Fishing Master replaces these odd, bumbling controls with a life-like experience! Use the Wii™ remote and nunchuck just like a real fishing pole! Cast your line and reel in to bait the fish. When you get a bite, it's time for action! Fight to keep the fish from escaping in a tense battle! Be sure to watch the tension of your line or your it will snap and the fish will swim off! Try to catch every fish in the game to complete your fishing encyclopedia!

While past consoles have relied on expensive extra peripherals to capture the joys of fishing, the Wii does seem well suited to this niche genre.
