Full Wii Remote use in Flash games
Filed in archive Wii Online on March 2, 2007
The Wii-specific Flash gaming site recently announced they've cracked full Wiimote control for online games. In other words, Flash programmers can utilize the face buttons on the remote in their games. Using a custom API available for free on the site, games can support button use that won't interfere with motion control. Sounds like gold to me. It waits to be seen how well this will work in practice, of course, and when the final version of the Opera internet browser hits sometime later this month, things could be shifted around quite a bit. In the meantime, watch Wiicade for games using the Wiimote's buttons.
