Reggie's says that Nintendo hasnt really delivered on its Blue Ocean promise to widen the market due to the success that Wii is having and its unavailability on store shelves. He says it is more due to overwhelming demand than production capacity problems. Talk about having a good problem. He also says that Nintendo isnt forgetting the core gamers and having a bigger audience will lead to more and better games. I sure am hoping that Nintendo has more than Brain Age 2 and mario kart up their sleeves for the core gamer.

GP: So, when Reggie Fils-Aime peers into his crystal ball what does he see?

RF: The future looks like this: More and more consumers playing video games world wide. A vastly different profile that the typical-call him 20-year-old-male today. And in that view our devices the Wii and the DS are truly devices that people will use every day, all consumers in the household. That's our view of the future.
