Game Informer Magazine has always had a sketchy vibe when it comes to Nintendo stuff. For instance, in one issue, they said the only thing Wii Sports was good for was playing frisbee (with the disc!).
In the latest issue, their 10 editors were polled to list their top ten games of the year. Mario Galaxy made it on...... ONE editor's list at the number one slot.
Okay, okay, there were a ton of great games last year. But wait, there's more! You have to go down to #4 or #5 on their ranking lists to even find Galaxy! Some of these turkeys were putting Rock Band number one, and one joker even Super Paper Mario on his list without Galaxy even present!
Ah, the print media....

Game Informer is a little weird like that, I think... it seems like, one month, it's a totally great magazine, and the next month, it's like they don't even think things through and get off on a bunch of macho crap. Weirdness...

I agree. They did some wonderful coverage of Red Steel, for instance. But they seem infected by the "snobby PC gamer" virus, which makes one think you are superior in every way because you play games on a $5000 machine.
It's a horrible disease. I used to have it myself back in my Wing Commander IV days...
