Miyamoto's GDC speech
Filed in archive News on March 9, 2007
Nintendo's day in the spotlight has come and gone and the Game Developers Conference winds to a close this Friday. Famed game designer and all-around great guy Shigeru Miyamoto gave Nintendo's keynote speech, and while no new information was given about future plans, several nice bits of info on the planning behind Nintendo's new Wii-like strategy were revealed. Joystiq covered the talk live and has minute-by-minute updates on the topics covered. Strangely enough, one of the most interesting factoids that surfaced was that Wii Sports baseball originally had Mario characters, but it seems people preferred to use their Miis. Check out the talk summary or watch a video of the whole event.
