, Tim Burton movies or rpgs, Monster Lab may very well be worth keeping a close eye on. This darkly themed rpg puts you in the role of mad scientist, creating an awesome array of creatures falling into some 150 types, with over 300 million (!) variations to customize.
The game promises to be a compelling mix of role playing, character design, head-to-head battles and online tournaments, and looks like it is well worth waiting for. Unfortunately, we have a way to wait yet, as Eidos, the game's developer will not be releasing its monsters into the wild until June of next year.
WiiFanBoy have managed to get some excellent screenshots, however, and describe some of the juicy details in their exclusive preview:
"Players will have over 300 million variations to customize - via minigames - their mechanical, biological, and chemical monsters with before pitting them against other brutes in turn-based battles reminiscent of Pokemon. As far as online support goes, multiplayer battles, creature trading, downloadable content, and photo sharing are in the works."
This looks like another great development for the online gaming possibilities that the Wii has so far only just started to take advantage of. But anyone that ever wanted to create their own vile abominations of nature will be lining up for this one when it finally sees the light of day.
