NBA Live 2008 to feature FIBA Teams

Filed in archive Wii on August 5, 2007

EA and FIBA, the world's governing body for basketball, recently signed an agreement to feature the FIBA World Championship in the NBA Live franchise. Soon we will be finally be able to expand their virtual basketball experience to include teams from all over the world. NBA LIVE 08, shipping this October, will feature eight international teams, including 2006 World Championship winners Spain, runners up Greece and USA, as well as France, Germany, Italy, Argentina and China.

Don't you think its about time that the big basketball game franchises acknowledge that there are a lot of talented players and teams outside of the NBA? I'm just curious as how the player and team ratings will be reflected. The sad part is that the Wii version of NBA O8 wont be featuring the FIBA Championship tournament, just the ability to play as the FIBA teams on the Play now mode.
