Neo Geo Hits The Wii Virtual Console
Filed in archive Wii Online by Michael Pick on September 7, 2007
When I was at school I used to dream of owning a Neo-Geo, what was back then like having an arcade machine in your front room. Unfortunately, however many paper rounds I took on, it really wasn't going to happen. Fifteen years later, while the appeal isn't quite the same, the impending release of Neo Geo classics to the Wii virtual console still sends a small shiver down my spine. I know, I need to get out more...

Neo Geo Hits The Wii Virtual Console

Lucky for me, then, that I live in Japan, as three Neo-Geo classics hit the Wii VC this month this side of the Pacific. But don't worry, as Europe and the US will join the party by the end of the year.

Nintendo Life report that:
"It's been quite a wait, but after the universal excitement that Neo Geo would be coming to VC, Nintendo have announced that the following three games will be available this month in Japan:

  • World Heroes

  • Magician Lord

  • Fatal Fury

"

Those are three rock solid retro games, and I am particularly excited about Fatal Fury, which gobbled a whole lot of my "lunch money" back in my school days.
