New consoles on the VC (in Japan)

Filed in archive Wii on February 23, 2007

Great news for anyone reading this in Japan. Starting this summer two new consoles will appear on the Wii Virtual Console: the Neo-Geo and the MSX. SNK's 24-bit Neo-Geo system made a name for itself back in the early 90s with extremely high-quality arcade ports (mostly fighting games and shmups), while the MSX was the original home to some franchises you might recognize, Metal Gear and Bomberman. Only two games have been announced so far, Eggy and Aleste for the MSX, and no mention of a non-Japanese offering for the same systems. Bummer +10.
