One of the hotly anticipated games of next year for all self respecting Wii-fans has to be the Mario & Sonic At The olympic games title, set to tie in with the 2008 Beijing games over in meatspace. As the game gets closer (a way off yet though, alas), Sega seem intent on teasing us with mouth-watering (quite probably high budget) trailers to whet our appetites.




The latest, which you can see below, has JC Fletcher over at WiiFanboy expressing admiration and delight at the results, as all fanboys will be. He writes:

"Sega continues to pour money into lavishly rendered trailers for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and we must admit it's working a little. We, who have been less than impressed with Sonic and his games recently, found the dramatic music and quick editing of this new trailer to be effective at getting us to cheer for some ridiculous-looking video game characters as they compete with each other at Olympic sports."

. Hopefully the game will live up the hype building up around it.



In the meantime, this does look cool. If only the struggling 3D graphics engine of the Wii would bring us remotely close to these fine visuals this would be a real corker. And come on - really: Mario Vs. Sonic in the 200 meter sprint? Puh-lease.
