New Titles Revealed at E3 2010

The moment the execs and PR bunch saw the mastermind that is Shigeru Miyamoto enter E3 2010 last week, the floor began to buzz. Having already won the battle for publicity with news of their new DS (the latest piece of handheld innovation includes bigger memory and a 3D camera), Nintendo must have had yet more, and something really special, up their sleeve.

And so they had. Miyamoto revealed that he planned to release another game in the Legend of Zelda, this one set for 2011 to be called "Skyward Sword". He gave a demo of new elements to the gameplay: players charge their sword by holding it to the sky and must hold their nunchuk like a shield to block attacks. Twilight Princess' only less than impressive element was its graphics which would have looked more at home on the Gamecube, and it seems that the Wii will be pushed to its limits with this release.

This isn't the only release we can look forward to from E3. Cult favourite Kirby returns with the brilliantly titled Kirby's Epic Yarn, while Donkey Kong is back in Donkey Kong Country Returns. With news of yet another new Mario game, too, it seems Nintendo fans will be kept very busy over the coming months, so check back for further news!
