I haven't done one of these "Best of the Best" type posts in a long time. So here you go:

Resident Evil 0 being remade for Wii, should be out this summer.
Nintendowiifanboy is reporting that Resident Evil 0, which if Nintendo fans remember is a special Resident Evil game for the Gamecube only, is being redone for Wii.
The game is supposed to control like resident evil 4. If so, count me in, big time. They'll have to do a ton of rebalancing to make that work in RE0, but that's alright. Honestly, I could never really get into the more "plodding" style of RE after playing RE4 anyway.
Street Fighter IV for Wii is not out of the question!
Gonintendo is reporting that Yoshinori Ono, the producer for Street Fighter IV, is openly talking about the game being very scaleable. In essence he was saying that the rules could stay the same while the visuals changed, without affecting the gameplay.
I've always thought developers were lazy in regards to making certain 360/PS3 games for Wii. In fact, I really feel that it was more of a "we don't think it will sell on the platform" decision as opposed to it being "just so darn hard." After all, many big "can't do on Wii" titles like Assassin's Creed end up with Nintendo DS versions!
In any case, it would be wonderful if Capcom managed to make a Street Fighter IV game for Wii.

You know, it's weird: You would think that the PS3 would be the tricky machine to develop a port of a game for, since that was a big gripe when it was first coming out. I wonder what all is really involved with swapping out a lot of assets that are maybe made with HD in mind for ones that aren't... crazy!

After the RE games were released for the gamecube I couldnt have been happier, I think I spent the whole year, working through 0-4 loving every second of it. The graphics, the gameplay, the additions. It was perfect. Currently I just got RE4 for Wii and am about to pick it up. (just killed el gigante) I didn't think you could improve on perfection. So if 0 comes out for Wii, I'm there. I'm just sad that RE5 is a 360 title only. Nintendo finally had it goin on only to be overtaken by the 360. Its already got GoW, why give it anymore cool games. Plus, my Wii was cheap.

Yes, I'm dissapointed in Capcom's direction, but you can probably understand why. The Gamecube was a little bit better than PS2 graphically, while slightly less powerful than the Xbox.
The Wii, while a wonderful machine, isn't even that much more powerful than last generation's Xbox. It isn't to say that it isn't more powerful than the Gamecube: it is. But Resident Evil really depends on a certain amount of cinematic polish, and it is hard (read: impossible) to resist making it for the two powerhouse platforms for cinematic games, the 360 and PS3.
It's just a reality of the situation- but I believe plenty of great cinematic, story heavy games will come for Wii- it's just a matter of time for a console that has a huge new install base and has only been out for a little over a year!
