Revolution Developers Get More than 1000 Dev Kits

IGN has recently reported that over 1000 Revolution development kits have been distributed to various developers.
Perhaps unfortunately for Nintendo fanboys, many kits are said to be nothing more than Gamecubes with wired Revolution controllers. However, many of the more prestigious developers have supposedly received kits that more closely resemble the Revolution and will soon have kits that are approximately 90% similar to the final kits. Developers expect these by June.
More good news came from one developer: "…any studio familiar with GameCube's architecture will find that they can get their Revolution projects up and running in no time. The make-up of the systems is very similar, although Revolution will be roughly twice as powerful."
People might get worried about the Revolution only being "twice as powerful," but I think that's ridiculous. Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube looks about as good as the first Xbox 360 games on a standard TV, and there's no doubt in my mind that the Revolution will have excellent graphics.
