Rumored Nintendo console games
Two tasty rumors have surfaced today about possible video game releases on the Nintendo Wii and DS. The first comes from the famously loose-tongued SPOnG claiming they heard Rockstar's grand theft auto series would make a pit stop on the Wii in GTA 5. When put to the ears of Rockstar's reps, they responded with what SPOnG described as a "stifled giggle". Months ago there were rumors that Nintendo was pressuring publishers to attract high-profile games to the Wii, and strangely enough SPOnG's wild claims turn out to be true more often than not. Time will tell on this crazy news.
The second rumor is quite a bit more substantiated. CEO of Activision Mike Griffiths mentioned in a recent financial results conference call that they would aggressively target Nintendo's platforms in the coming months, doubling the number of games they release for the DS and Wii. Guitar Hero was mentioned in a list of franchises that Activision will be pushing to the systems. Wiiguitar, anyone (gwiitar)?
