Samus cosplay looks REAL
Filed in archive Other on March 13, 2009

Cosplay isn't easy. For one, the costumes are tough to make. Then there's the risk of making a complete fool of one's self-especially when the costume doesn't cover the face. Fortunately, video game character Samus Aran of Metroid fame is covered from head to toe with a cybernetic power suit so there's no shame in cosplaying her, even if the costume your mom made is utter crap.
Good thing there are people like Thaís Jussim who make up for all the bad Samus costumes. See her make Metroid and all-that-is-Nintendo proud with her Samus costume. According to GoNintendo, the costume weighs 23 pounds and comes with 73 battery-powered LEDs.
I'm impressed. I normally don't think much of cosplay but this Samus costume looks better than those cheap rubber suits used in live-action Japanese robot shows.
