Smash Bros. Brawl Intro... Awesomeness Ahead
Filed in archive Media (Videos, Music, Wallpapers) on January 30, 2008
Sorry to poke you all (and myself) in the ribs by showing you what those lucky Japanese have that we don't... Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Some import gamer has posted the game's intro, which you can view above.
Let's just say it hits my heart for massive damage.
As reported on the internets in places like Gonintendo and NeoGaf, the trailer confirms a playable Marth and Ness, which, you know, to people who read sites like this, is kinda a big deal.
Of course there is much discussion going on in terms of how this stacks up with the Super Smash Bros. melee Trailer (which is legendary):
Obviously Nintendo went with the decision to use Subspace Emissary clips for the intro this time, instead of a purpose built trailer, so there is a certain cohesion missing, but holy smokes, the music for Brawl's intro is face melting good. Nintendo has some awesome composers and orchestrators!

I'm gonna trust you on the video being good... I'm in full Brawl blackout mode right now. I don't want to see any of it until it's time!! But the music continues to totally floor me... I can't think of another series that comes off as such a labor of love like Smash Bros does. Hopefully other developers take notes on creating feelings like that in their games!

Heh, apparently the owner of the actual Brawl intro video is blacking me out too, as every attempt to imbed that fails. Only the Melee intro is showing )-:
