Star Wars The Force Unleashed Brings Light Saber Action To The Wii

Filed in archive Wii on September 19, 2007

As if the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed didn't look cool enough already, the newly released news that it will be hitting the Wii and making use of its cool control system takes things to the next level.

Taking on the role of darth vader's secret apprentice, there is more than a hint of darkness at work here, which sounds very cool to me. The player uses the main controller as if it were a light saber, and the nunchuk to make use of all kinds of cool "force" tricks and tactics. This looks like a marriage made in heaven between hardware and software, and is going to have more than a few Star Wars fanboys buying into the world of Wii.

Infendo report that:
"The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also add an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master."
This sounds like a great addition, and it seems that a lot of time has been spent making the Wii version of the game unique to the world's favourite gaming platform.

The game, however, will not be released until Spring 2008. Sigh.
