At a recent gathering of Japanese game developers, Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Solid) sat down to do what millions of fans around the world would have given body organs to do: play Super Smash Bros Brawl. Afterwards he remarked that the game "already feels very complete" and is "a lot of fun". While the latter statement is a given (Smash Bros, fun? Of course!), the "feeling complete" bit is quite interesting. Is Nintendo further along with Brawl than we thought? At E3 last year, Nintendo mentioned 2007 as a release timeframe for the game. However, Miyamoto loves to polish games to a brilliant shine, so I wouldn't expect Brawl to hit any time before summer 2008.
