Some fresh news of interest from the GDC:
Telltale Games, developers of the recent Sam and Max downloadable games (I believe primarily available via Gametap), have long been rumored to be working on a Wii title.
The Wii is a great vehicle for adventure games, Telltale's speciality. Like the DS, I foresee a mild resugence in the form, even though the first real attempt, the sublime Zak and Wiki, was a commercial dud.
When Telltale further clarified that their game is going to be a Wii Ware title, even more of us speculated that Sam and Max were coming to Wii. But no! Apparently, Telltale is working on a band new property for Wii.
Whatever they make, I'll be looking for their game with keen interest. Telltale is made up of ex-LucasArts folks, some of the people that made that string of excellent adventure titles like Day of the Tentacle and The Dig.

WiiWare is going to be pretty exciting, that's for sure! I'm so glad it has a firm launch date now so that we know when we're getting games like this. If they released some sort of SDK for hobbyists (or if I got to hook up with some indie developer to try writing for it), I think I'd be through the roof... good for those developers that are jumping on it, though!
