Wii
by Stephen Lunn on December 4, 2009
Over the last few months, sales of the Wii in the UK have dipped, rather worrying Nintendo over there in Japan. However, results published by Chart Track-GfK have revealed that the Wii, since its release in December 2006, has become the fastest selling console in the UK, being the first to reach the landmark of 6 million units sold.
With rumours surrounding motion sensing controls for the Xbox and the release of big-hype games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on Nintendo’s competitors, Microsoft and Sony have seen a rise in sales of their consoles, thanks in part too to a cut in price. The news will help, then, to re-establish the Wii as the highest selling console in the country. General manager of Nintendo UK, David Yarnton, has said that “we’ll work even harder to ensure that the interest in Wii stretches over months and years”.

Nintendo Wii is the best game console, for me that is. You are very hands on in playing the games. I highly recommend this!
