Today in Review Roundup, we look at a game in which you pretend to be a doctor and a game were you might have to argue with a cranky one (as in Dr. McCoy).

Trauma Center: New Blood was surprise hit on the Nintendo DS, and then continued its success on Wii as a launch title. Atlus has published a sequel, in time for the Christmas season. It's posted a solid 74 metacritic score. Here's Gamepro's opinion:
The storyline is great and the gameplay is as entertaining as you all remember from the other games. If you liked the excellent Second Opinion, you'll love New Blood just as much.
As it turns out, the Wii Remote makes an excellent scalpel! I just hope they don't have you lance hemorrhoids...

Warning! Poor Sample Selection Alert! Star Trek: Conquest flies in under the radar: a game almost nobody noticed get released. As such, metacritic reviews a very shallow sample: only six reviews!
So take the game's 53 average with a bag of salt the size of William Shatner's gut. NintendoWorldReport gives the game an 80, while GameSpy gives the game a horrific 20.
I doubt the game is a 20/100. After all, the MSRP is a mere $30. That alone, for this blogger, is worth a 40 metascore!
Perhaps NintendoWorldReport's review is a little on the high side, so here's an excerpt from IGN.com's Mark Bozon, who gave the game a 68:
Star Trek Conquest is an interesting game to say the least. The core game design is fun, but the amount of options, polish, and multiplayer (or entire lack thereof) brings the experience down more than a few notches.
For fans of Star Trek, this is probably a fun game to pick up with a little extra Christmas cash.
