In an interview back in August with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto, the gaming guru stated that some gamecube games could be re-made with the motion-sensitive Wii Remote in mind. He may have just been chewing the fat, but releasing ready-made games with a few new brushstrokes is a good business move, so don't be surprised to see some of those games appear later in the year.
Top on Nintendo's list will surely be the Metroid Prime games, Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Timing the release of these titles might push them back to next year, seeing as how the latter just had a sequel and the former games have sequels due this year. But it's pretty much a safe bet that they're on their way in some form. Time will tell.

Which brings me to a few thoughts concerning a wii-made Wind Waker. It seems that WW would lend itself more readily to the Wiimote control scheme than Twilight Princess. For starters, how did you play songs in Wind Waker? With a baton. Why not just wave the remote to play music? Controlling the ship also seems like a logical motion-sensitive action. The less-serious atmosphere also seems to be a better fit for motion controls, though that's purely conjecture on my part. The one thing that will honestly make or break my Wind Waker Wii purchase is whether or not camera control is available. Twilight Princess feels crippled without a free-roaming camera. I can't stand it, I get frustrated each time I play because I can't get a good look at the game world. I hope the lack of buttons on the Wii remote doesn't deter free camera control in future game releases...
