Worms Come To The Wii
Filed in archive Wii by Michael Pick on September 5, 2007
The popular Worms franchise, which has been around for over a decade, is going to get a fresh makeover, innovative controls and online battle when it hits the Nintendo Wii in Spring 2008.

Worms Come To The Wii

If you, like me, wasted many an hour with friends playing the original Worms game, this comes as exciting news indeed. While later versions of the game never quite did it for me, the core gameplay of Worms - a turn-based cartoonish battle game - has always managed to be fiendishly addictive.

The press release issued from THQ, the game's developer, notes that:
"In Worms: A Space Oddity, players will enjoy the ultimate blend of classic Worms game modes and re-invented single-player missions, as well as multiplayer modes that include a host of all-new party games and even more customization options...

Worms: A Space Oddity demonstrates significant Visual, technical and design advancement over its predecessors with a new visual style that abandons the traditional drawn approach and replaces it with a distinctive style inspired by classic Sci-Fi looks."

My fingers are firmly crossed that this is going to be a classic.
