Yes, yes, another article about Nintendo Wii in Retirement Centers

I know people are probably tired of these stories, but hey, they always warm the heart, don't they?
On a personal note, I always have to laugh when I see these folks playing Wii, not because I'm laughing at them, but because I'm reminded of how my mom still struggles with even the simplest of Wii games. I'm talking Wii Play Shooting Gallery simple. So, seniors, who haven't dealt with video games possibly their whole lives, are totally p0wning my Mom, who used to help Dad run 22 arcades. Yikes!
Anyway, here's the story excerpt:
The assumption was that they'd give their grandchildren the toys they approved. But it didn't quite turn out that way. The Nintendo Wii was so popular that the residents clamored for their own.
Today, each of the Erickson chain's retirement communities, including Sedgebrook, outside Chicago, owns at least one Wii.

In spite of my advanced age, I am pretty proficient on the computer and rather hip for my approaching senior years. If I desired, I could whip anyone’s ….well behind.. in most video games. I choose to ACT somewhat befuddled when it comes to gaming so that I can have more time to play with the grandbaby, which of course, any grandparent will tell you, is the best thing in life!
Love, Mom
