Viral Marketing in the Pipeline for Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5

The video game Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 has gone the odd way, with Twitter hinting on a massive viral marketing to introduce its first impressions to the public. The Epsilon Program seems to be back with a vengeance with viral marketing machines bringing the next Rockstar series to life.

People who are familiar with the tales of the famous video game The Grand Theft Auto series will have memories of the fake religion being introduced in San Andreas in the garb of a parody of Scientology. New links were being added to Twitter accounts based in San Andreas again, as soon as Take Two closed curtains on the conference that failed to present any launching dates for GTAV. The twitter feeds have made hints towards the usage of viral marketing for the upcoming product. Praise Kifflom!!

Though there is hardly any official information on the videogame, the watchers are waiting to see the impact of the ARG-style viral marketing techniques. Morgan August, a resident of Los Santos, San Andreas, has opined that Cris Formage was a genius to have created religion of the video game, in the way he did. The website gives access to the base of religion along with the 12 tenets of Kifflom and much more.

Will GTAV 5 depend on the viral marketing techniques to become as popular as its predecessors? The answer to the above can only be found in time.
