When Rob was born, waaaaay back in the year 1980 (long before the phrase All Your Base Are Belong To Us was even a twinkle in Toaplan's eye), his father owned 20 arcades. It wasn't long before little Rob was scared completely out of his mind by watching Dragon's Lair, a machine that made fantastic money for the family, when, you know, it worked. Which was almost never. Fortunately, this didn't deter little Rob from becoming a huge video game and Nintendo fan!

My name is Ruth Schaffer and I'll be keeping you updated on the latest news and developments in Biotechnology, Allergies and Pregnancy. I have a Master's Degree in Microbiology and previously been been teaching at the University of the Philippines. I also spent more than five years at the International Rice Research Institute, working on paddy soil microbiology and biochemistry, followed by a brief stint in a university in Germany working on iron-reducing bacteria from marine sediments.
